A shop floor is a bigger order than a garage.
A two-car garage forgives a lot. If the coverage math comes up a little short, somebody drives back to the bench and grabs another kit. A shop or warehouse floor in Stockton does not work that way. The slab is larger, the crew is bigger, and running out halfway through a build coat leaves a cold joint across the middle of the room that everyone will see for the life of the floor.
So the first conversation is about numbers, and color comes later. We ask for the square footage, the profile you will leave after grinding, how porous the concrete is, and how thick you want the build. Thirsty, open concrete drinks primer. A dense power-troweled slab takes less. Two floors can be the same size and need very different quantities, and the only way to know is to ask the questions before anything gets written up.
Once we have those answers, the order goes out as a complete system with a small margin built in on purpose. Leftover resin sits on your shelf for the next job. A shortage stops the whole crew.

Primer that grabs the slab
The primer soaks into the pores you opened with the grinder and gives everything above it something to hold. If your moisture test came back high, this is where a vapor-mitigating product replaces a standard primer, and we will walk you through that swap before you order. Thinning or skipping this coat to stretch material is the shortcut we hear about most after a floor lets go.
Build coat for body
This is the thickness of the floor. It carries the color, levels minor texture, and takes a flake or quartz broadcast when the system calls for one. It has to be chemically compatible with the primer below and the topcoat above, which is the main reason we sell the three as a matched set from one line.
Topcoat that takes the traffic
Pallet jacks, rolling carts, dropped tools and hot tires all land on this coat. Epoxy, urethane or polyaspartic can each go on top depending on the use and the schedule. Tell us what crosses the floor every day and we will match the topcoat to it.
Respect the recoat window
Each coat has a window for the next one. Come back too early and the layers smear together. Come back too late and you may have to scuff before recoating. The window moves with temperature, so read the data sheet on the day with the slab temperature in hand.
What leaves the bench for a Stockton job.
An order for a larger floor is more than resin. There are rollers and frames, spiked shoes, mixing paddles, a moisture test if you have not run one yet, and patch material for the cracks that show up once the grinder opens the surface. We would much prefer to talk through that list on the phone than have you find the gap at seven in the morning with the crew standing around.
On a mixed-use building, a crew might put decorative flake in the office side and a plain high-build color in the work bays. Others finish with a polyaspartic topcoat, pour a metallic floor in a showroom, or book a grinder rental for the prep day. Delivery makes sense when the pallet is heavy, the crew is already on site grinding, and nobody can spare the round trip. Either way, the order gets checked against the spec we wrote together before it goes anywhere, because a missing hardener on a warehouse floor costs the whole crew a day.

Getting the floor back to the people who use it.
On a working shop or warehouse, the coating schedule is really a question about downtime. The building owner wants to know when racking goes back, when the forklift can run, and when people can walk across it. Those are separate answers, and each one comes from the product data sheet, adjusted for the temperature inside the building.
Cold slabs slow everything down. A building that sits cool overnight will stretch the cure well past what a warm afternoon suggests, so plan around the coldest hours and leave room on top of that. Epoxy that feels dry to the touch is still curing underneath, and heavy steel wheels are the fastest way to find out.
If the downtime window is tight, say so on the first call. It can change the topcoat, the number of coats, or the order in which the building gets done, with one half coated this week and the other half next. Plan that split with us before you promise the owner a date the chemistry will not keep.
